Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências da Motricidade – Interunidades –
Universidade Estadual Paulista - UNESP
O Programa de Pós-Graduação em Ciências da
Motricidade foi criado em 1991, nível de mestrado acadêmico. A criação do Curso
motricidade humana.
Áreas de Concentração: Biodinâmica da
Motricidade Humana, Pedagogia da Motricidade Humana e Atividade Física e Saúde.

COORDENAÇÃO E CONTROLE DE HABILIDADES
MOTORAS
Descrição: Examina os mecanismos e
processos subjacentes à aquisição, realização e refinamento das ações motoras
ao longo do ciclo vital, sob condições normais e atípicas.
- Resumo dos
projetos que estão sendo desenvolvidos:
1) Asymmetry
in Parkinson’s disease: effects on walking and posture
The most
patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) shows unilateral motor impairment. However,
the motor control related to asymmetry on walking and postural control is not
well known. The general aim of this study is to analyze the asymmetry on
walking, with and without environmental demands, and posture, according to the
effect of medication, of the patients with PD in early and moderate stages of
the disease. To answer the questions of the project, a series of studies will
be developed, which will address the asymmetry on walking with and without
auditory cue and postural control in different static positions.
2) Impact
of muscle fatigue on mechanics and motor control of walking in different
environments
The aim of
this thesis was to analyze the effects of muscle fatigue on mechanics and motor
control of walking in different environments. Series of fatigue and walking
experiments addressed the effect of leg muscle fatigue on walking in different
environments, the impact of age and neurodegenerative diseases on gait
adjustments with muscle fatigue, and effects of fatigue in task-specific muscle
groups on mechanics and control of gait during stepping down.
3) Biomechanics,
motor control and performance
The best
performance in sports is the dream of all athletes. To improve the performance
is necessary a detailed analysis of the movement. Therefore, the aim of this
project is to analyze the performance of the athletes in different sports from
the point of view of biomechanics and motor control. For this, a series of
studies has been developed seeking to answer questions related to the human movement
applied to sport.
4) Posture,
locomotion and neurodegenerative disease
The main aim of this study is to understand underlying how gait and posture are planned and controlled. The research approach consists of a combination of experimental and clinical studies aimed at unraveling the interplay between organismic, task-related, and environmental constraints examining gait and posture in neurologically healthy individuals and people with neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease. A series of studies are investigating the mechanisms of postural control and locomotion in neurologically healthy individuals and with neurodegenerative disease, included or not in a physical activity program.
